Re:  Hudak's 'Million Jobs' plan 95% wrong: Sousa, Shawn Jeffords, May 24, 2014

Beyond troubling math errors, Hudak's "Million Jobs" plan fails to account for private sector employment losses resulting from major public sector spending cuts, nor does it include the 100,000 direct public sector jobs that the PCs pledge to eliminate. Similar austerity budgets in Eurozone countries have led to disaster, resulting in higher debt levels, double-digit unemployment rates, and in some instances riots in the streets. Do Ontario voters really want to follow this anti-government pied piper whose plan will march the economy over a deep fiscal cliff?

1. Major Numerical Problems in Tim Hudak's Jobs Plan
The million jobs plan, therefore, now has a gaping 200,000 job hole in it, resulting from an obvious arithmetic error that throws into question the very competence of Mr. Hudak's policy team.
2. The Austerity Trap

The lesson that should be learned from Greece is that its fiscal mess has been made far worse by severe budget cuts.

New data from the European Union, released on Monday and analyzed in The Times by Landon Thomas Jr. and David Jolly, show that countries that have most ruthlessly cut their budgets Greece, especially have seen their overall debt loads increase as a share of the economy.

The data provide objective support for what has been clear to just about everyone except pro-austerity German officials and deficit-crazed Republican politicians. Namely, deep government budget cuts at a time of economic weakness are counterproductive, complicating, if not ruining, the chances for economic growth.

Subject: Flight MH370: 'Planes don't just disappear'

Something smells very fishy.

"Airplanes don't just disappear,' he said. 'Certainly not these days with all the powerful communication systems, radio and satellite tracking and filmless cameras which operate almost indefinitely and possess huge storage capacities.'

'The plane is somewhere, maybe without MAS [Malaysia Airlines] markings,' he said, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

'It is a waste of time and money to look for debris or oil slick or to listen for pings from the black box.

"For some reason, the media will not print anything that involves Boeing or the CIA,' he said.

Dr Mahathir, 88, who was Malaysia's prime minister between 1981 and 2003, said the missing flight's communication system 'must have been disabled'."

Joe--this is interesting.  We know most meats are high in cholesterol because of the factory farms they are raised on.  Fish are contaminated by garbage, oil spills etc that is in their habitat but vegetables are safe??  What about the GMO veggies??

I find it interesting that our government strongly recommended hand sanitizers and now we find that the Triclosan in them causes liver and thyroid damage.

Triclosan: The Soap Ingredient You Should Never Use -- But 75% of Households Do

Sadly our planet has been so contaminated that no matter what we do we are poisoning ourselves.

Iraq: the Biggest Petroleum Heist in History?

Iraq was the Cradle of Civilization. Now it's the cradle of shit. The US decimated Iraq; blew it to bits, bombed its industries, its bridges, its schools, its hospitals, leveled its cities, polluted its water, spread diseases everywhere, killed its kids,  pitted brother against brother,   and transformed a vibrant, unique country into a dysfunctional cesspit run by opportunists, gangsters, and fanatics.
And, here's the corker:  No one gives a rip. Face it: No one gives a flying fu** about Iraq. The American people lost interest long ago, the politicians can't be bothered, and the UN is too afraid of the US to lift a finger to help. They'd rather stamp their feet and scold Putin over Crimea than utter a peep about the genocide in Iraq.  That's the state of things today, right?  No accountability for the men who started the war, and no justice for the victims.
Here's a clip from a poem by Iraqi writer who wants readers to take a minute and think about all the suffering the United States has created. The poem is titled "Flying Kites":
"Come and see our overflowing morgues and find our little ones for us…
You may find them in this corner or the other, a little hand poking out, pointing out at you…
Come and search for them in the rubble of your "surgical" air raids, you may find a little leg or a little head…pleading for your attention.
Come and see them amassed in the garbage dumps, scavenging morsels of food…
Come and see  our little ones, under-nourished or dying from disease. Cholera, dysentery, infections…
Come and see, come…."  ("Flying Kites" Layla Anwar)
A million people were killed so a few rich fu**ers could get even richer. That's a hell of a legacy.
