Dear Supporter,

The 2014 Teddy Waste Awards are right around the corner!
Every year, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation takes centre stage at the Press Theatre on Parliament Hill to hand out golden pig statues to the worst money-wasters in government.
Would you like to send us a nomination?
Have you noticed any local, provincial or federal politicians or governments wasting your tax dollars?  How about a government agency?
If you know a waste story, please email us at shennig@taxpayer.com. Help us give Canada's wasteful spenders the attention they so richly deserve.
Two years ago, we heard from a man in Montreal who caught city snowplows on video, clearing imaginary snow! And we heard from a taxpayer in Winnipeg who told us about that city funding a new program - to warn pedestrians that sidewalks there can be slippery in the winter time!

Last year we got tipped off about Chief Redman of the Standing Buffalo First Nation in Saskatchewan who padlocked the band office and confiscated the chequebook when band members gathered to impeach him.

We can't make this stuff up – we don't need to! The Teddy awards get a lot of media coverage: television, radio, newspapers, you name it. So please give us an internet link to a news story, or send us a clipping or a document. We need to be able to prove everything we say about a Teddy nominee. Exposing waste and corruption is serious business, even when it's seriously funny.
 Thanks for all you do,
