DND, procurement officials had no intention of conducting required competitive bidding process to find CF-18 replacement:
'This is in fact what the AG said.
And so in June, out pops this letter that claimed to provide sufficient justification for Rona Ambrose and her staff to jump on board,'
says Alan Williams, a former DND bureaucrat and procurement expert.

Should environmental law changes be pulled out of bill C-38?

Should a Budget Bill deal with the Budget and many other things as well, all to be debated by Thursday, or just the Budget is the wider question

Opinions anyone?

Subject: Fukushima reactor No. 4 at risk of catastrophic failure, dwarfing Chernobyl disaster; human civilization on the brink

NaturalNews Insider Alert ( ) email newsletter

Dear NaturalNews readers,
I'm interrupting our normal email schedule to bring you an urgent alert that makes everything else seem insignificant by comparison.
The issues of GMOs, fluoride, food freedom and vaccines won't matter at all if we don't solve this far bigger issue that threatens human civilization: Fukushima reactor No. 4.
Right now, the reactor's spent fuel pool is just one earthquake away from a structural failure that could set off a chain of events leading to the release of anywhere from 10 times to 85 times the Cesium-137 released in the Chernobyl disaster.
Such circumstances caused one of Japan's former ambassadors to make the following extraordinary statement:
"It is no exaggeration to say that the fate of Japan and the whole world depends on No. 4 reactor." - Mitsuhei Murata, Former Japanese Ambassador to Switzerland and Senegal, Executive Director, the Japan Society for Global System and Ethics.
A failure of the reactor -- and the subsequent catastrophic release of Cesium-137 -- would decimate human life across North America, killing off crops, polluting groundwater, causing widespread infant stillbirths and unleashing an explosion in cancer rates. North America could become uninhabitable by humans for centuries.

Cesium-137 has a half-life of 30 years, meaning that if North America is blanketed with a layer of radioactive dust in 2012, that radioactivity will still be half as strong in the year 2042. It will drop by half again by the year 2072. By the year 2102, it might be low enough to where humans could start to re-colonize the continent, but even then, rates of cancer and birth defects would likely be off the charts.
Yet, as we speak, the mainstream media is running a total media blackout on this story. Governments are pretending there is no problem, and the corporations that built these nuclear facilities (like GE) are quietly running disinfo campaigns to convince everybody there is no problem.
I've just published an urgent feature story on this issue, outlining the facts about Fukushima reactor No. 4:
I've also reprinted an urgent press release from a coalition of organizations calling for urgent UN intervention to deal with Fukushima before it kills us all:
I'm urging you to forward and share these stories and help raise the alarm. Nothing else is important anymore. It doesn't matter who is running for President, what's in the vaccines, or whether GMOs are labeled if our civilization is dead from radiation!
NaturalNews is shifting our editorial priorities to focus on Fukushima. All other stories are being made secondary to this urgent issue.
I'm also recording a "radiation survival 101" audio program today, to be included as a downloadable bonus item in my upcoming "Preparedness Defense" LIVE event happening Tuesday evening. A small number of seats remain available, and even those will likely be sold out by tonight. Register at:
I'm assigning coverage of Fukushima to our staff writers and investigators, so expect to see a lot more reporting on Fukushima until (and if) this Reactor No. 4 problem is properly addressed.
In the mean time, just one earthquake in Japan could unleash the worst-case scenario, sending a massive plume of Cesium-137 headed directly at North America. The fate of our world now rests on the unpredictability of Pacific Rim earthquakes! This is a stupidly risky roll of the dice we've all walked into, and if we don't make it, future archeologists will one day discover a fine layer of Cesium-137 dust followed by a global mass extinction event.
Nothing else is important compared to this. We either solve the Fukushima situation -- and then eliminate ALL nuclear power plants on the planet -- or we carve our own graves in the sad, pathetic history of an arrogant civilization "suicided" by corporate-run science.

Pray for our world today. We may have already killed ourselves with stupidity.

Fukushima reactor No. 4 vulnerable to catastrophic collapse; could unleash 85 times Cesium-137 radiation of Chernobyl; human civilization on the brink

(NaturalNews) The news you are about to read puts everything else in the category of "insignificant" by comparison. Concerned about the 2012 U.S. presidential election? Worried about GMOs? Fluoride? Vaccines? Secret prisons? None of that even matter

Fukushima reactor 4 requires urgent intervention; coalition calls for emergency UN action to halt catastrophic release of radiation (NaturalNews) Kyoto, Japan -- On 30 April, seventy-two Japanese NGO organizations lead by Shut Tomari and Green Action send an urgent request to the UN and Japanese government urging immediate action to stabilize the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant...
Subject: Canada is Israel's best friend: Baird  DD

"Canada declared its unwavering support for Israel and human rights everywhere"?  There are no 'human rights' in israel--only rights for israeli jews--the Christian and Muslim population are used for target practice.  What does Baird not understand about Human Rights?  Or does he agree with the belief written in the Talmud that only jews are human--the rest of us are nothing but cattle?

Is it considered 'human rights' to bomb children with white phosphorous?  Is it 'human rights' to steal land and water for yourself while leaving your victims to rot?  Is it 'human rights' to kill scientists and anyone else that refuses to obey the dictates of a genocidal stolen land?  All I can say that if this is Baird's definition of human rights we are in more trouble than I thought.  He defends israel's right to kill and maim.  He leads the "NATO humanitarian aid" destruction of Libya and calls this 'humanitarian aid''?  This creature is insane and should be jailed.  He is a danger to all of us.  Now that the USI has instituted jail without charge of trial we can look for the same thing happening in Canada.  This is how israel operates and with Baird's declaration that they practice 'human rights' it will be legal to do the same thing in Canada?

Remember Rachael Corrie?  Even the USI didn't defend their citizen against the murder by bulldozer done by the israelis.

Highly-regarded anti-nuke organization becomes first Harper charity victim

Posted: 07 May 2012 11:09 AM PDT
Physicians for Global Survival (PGS), a highly regarded Canadian NGO that has been campaigning to abolish nuclear weapons for 32 years, is losing its charitable tax status. "We promote nuclear disarmament," said staff member Andrea Levy, "but we've been told we're too political. We do too much advocacy." However, the content of the PGS website and its newsletter Turning Point do not present the picture of an organization that is moderately political, let alone radical. The Harper government attacked Canada's...

I was not going to post anything today, until I collected the supporting evidence, of what many would view as bordering on conspiracy theories, when really it is reconfiguring of power relationships among the networks of big government and big corporations at the expense of the common citizens and their rights and freedoms in relationship to the living standards one is accustomed to. However, the living standards are being predetermined for us, especially for the youth in conjunction by rewriting the labour, the immigration, environmental policies and virtually all other policies that touch and directly impact the citizens of a country. Too many articles of the back water issues came across my computer screen to be ignored.

In Europe and in the Third World, the agenda is much more advance than in North America. Canada and United States have a lot to do, to harmonized their policies to match more or less the policies of other countries that merges nicely with the trade agreements, globalization, the political G-7 or G-8 or G-22 and whatever new numbers are attached, the policies, the United Nations and their agenda, to maintain the pretence of sovereignty of a nation, by the elimination of nationalism, and its ideology hold that is held by the citizens of a country. There is not a day too far off, where a ninth generation Canadian, could have their citizens papers removed, and join the millions of stateless people, that steadily increase since the 1970s. The third world countries are much further ahead on this agenda, and the majority of stateless persons come from the Third World, but the growth continues of children who become stateless, virtually because of their parents taking advantage of globalization, and the opportunities in jobs across the world. So, is it just rhetoric when it comes to conspiracy theorists? One begins to wonder when reading and viewing today's news. The backwater issues takes on a more sinister tone, reminding me of my father's words, "Don't trust the government, they never did have your best interests," and he was referring to the Trudeau years, but in the end, he admitted that it does not matter what stripe the government is.

The last article that cross my screen,  created the time to write in to connect the dots, between the Canadian and American government.

" Bill C-38 is more than 400 pages long and makes substantial changes to many Canadian laws, including many that affect the government's stand on the environment: "

"A bill making its way through Congress would, in the interests of national security, bequeath to the Homeland Security Department complete control of all federal lands in a coast-to-coast zone 100 miles south of the Canadian border and 100 miles north of the Mexican border from California to the Gulf of Mexico
The bill, sponsored by Rep. Rob Bishop of Utah and having strong Republican support, is being touted as a necessary step in securing the nation's borders. But it is also being condemned as a thinly veiled attempt to "gut a century's worth" of environmental laws aimed at preserving public lands, historic sites and national monuments."

In both cases, the attempt to consolidate power of the economic and political kind, at the expense of the citizens standard of living and their rights and freedoms. In the environmental files of the government kind, all designed to favour the 'big guys' of international business, when environmental laws and labour laws, get in the way of profits. In Europe, full steam ahead, at the expense of the European citizens. And they have the nerve to cry foul, bemoaning the outcomes of the recent elections in France and Greece......"Fed-up Greek voters took to the polls Sunday to deliver a devastating blow to the political establishment and made hard turns to both the far-left and the far-right, with both a Communist Party and a Neo-Nazi party winning a significant number of seats."

All the backwater issues coming to roost when the political and economic powers decide to play games with their citizens taking away their rights and freedoms, by reducing their standard of living. And games they are, in Canada and United States, and sooner or later the citizens will get fed up being second class citizens of the new 21st century version of serfs, that is model from the old 17th and 18th century version. Napoleon Bonaparte and the French Revolution rings any bells for anyone?

To the present, and also happening in the U.S. government policies, "For Ms. Byl, and many other critics, Canada's growing numbers of temporary foreign workers have raised important questions about the kind of country we are becoming, and how a nation that has long welcomed immigrants is establishing a burgeoning second class of labour, devoid of many of the rights to democratic participation and workplace choice other Canadians enjoy.

As Canadian employers struggle to address a burgeoning labour shortage, temporary foreign workers have become a pillar of the economy – there are now more than 300,000 here, triple the number a decade ago. Visiting workers once associated with harvest time in Canada's orchards and tobacco fields now turn up everywhere from fast-food chains and abattoirs to the Alberta oil sands.

Anticipating another surge in demand, the Harper government has, in the past few weeks, formalized a series of changes to speed up the program. Now able to bring in people with just 10 days notice and to pay them 15-per-cent less than a Canadian would earn, employers have responded with joy."

With joy, just like the French aristocrats of the French Revolution, who continue on treating their citizens as second class citizens, just a tad above the level of slaves. all done by the edicts of the monarch of the day. At the end of article, reinforcing  and justifying the new changes made in labour and the immigration policies, just like the political and economic powers did in Europe, and look at the mess the European Union is in. "I don't think it will distort the labour market " and at very worst, the wages in oil-and- gas extraction could handle coming down a notch or two," said Todd Hirsch, senior economist for Edmonton-based ATB Financial." And no the political and economic powers will not be happy, until wages are driven down to where the ordinary working person is working 60 hours a week or more, to provide the basics, and the monies saved at the input spout on labour changes, to increase productivity will increase the profits and the big fat bonuses of the CEOs. There will be no downward spiral of reduced retail and consumer prices, but just the upward climb of retail prices, and in Europe, the good citizens are enjoying the experience of paying $4.00 for a can of coke, that includes a sugar tax, a water tax and host of other taxes relating to the environment and food regulations of the European Common Union. Pity, but no one has to wonder why the immigrants from Europe jumped at the chance to come to Canada and United States, even if it is under the foreign worker program.  But alas it is the basic food staples that have increase 100 fold in Canada and United States, and the funny thing, the increases in prices are in step and in harmony in both countries. Throw in the rising price of shelter, and in Europe it becomes the explosive powder kind, that leads to consequences that were not anticipated by the political and economic powers. It sure looks to be the same route our Canadian political and economic masters are following, economically speaking, at the expense of its citizens. The European Trade agreement will just hasten the conditions to mimic Europe, high unemployment, low paying job, living in ghetto conditions, and more elderly people walking the malls in the winter time, to save on heating costs at home. For some it is a 10 hour job, just to save on fuel, to be able to eat well, and as in one article that I read, the legions of people working at the 'Walmarts', to top off their meagre pensions.

Compare prices around the globe - a bit outdated but it serves the purpose.
