What will Canada's role be should there be a US/Israel vs Iran war?

US won't tolerate any disruption in Hormuz
Russia to stop any attack on Iran
US will "absolutely" continue drone war on Iran
Iran to sue US over airspace violation
Chinese General Threatens US with World War 3 over Iran

There is absolutely, positively, beyond the shadow of a doubt the threat of another war in the coming year in which Canada may consider involvement.

When Canada went to war with Serbia over Kosovo it was without UN resolution as was obtained before Libya was attacked.

It has been reported in a year end interview in regard to Syria that Harper "doesn't foresee a military intervention in the near future because there is not as there was with Libya a United Nations resolution authorizing such action."

Though I've no idea why Iran wasn't raised in the interview this was the conclusion arrived at from a submission to the UN in November "There are growing indications that Israel and/or the United States might be prepared to take pre-emptive military action to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons-making capability. Were that to happen, this submission appears to confirm that the Harper government would offer its strong support."?

The Prime Minister ought to be pressed to clarify whether Canada may be at war with Iran in 2012 only through UN Resolution or automatically in support of a "pre-emptive military action against Iran by Israel and/or the U.S."

    In the article

Harper government makes no apologies for new foreign policy direction F

oreign Affairs Minister John Baird said "My job is to stand up for Canadian values and Canadian interests."

My question to you: are your values that Canada consider war with Iran (1) only through UN resolution or (2) in support of an Israeli/United States attack.
