Libya destroyed: next stop Syria and then Iran

According to a retired American general a plan in existence since 1991 is being implemented It involves as you will hear seven countries of which Iraq and Libya are two : . . .the purpose of the military is to start wars and change governments. . . .

The following was spoken in Qatar where those who had allied to bring about regime change in Libya were gathered. The Heir Apparent to the throne thanked 'friends of Libyans'[]

The Chairman of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdul Jalil headed the meeting addressed the gathering " He said that without Nato's role in protecting civilians and support of the rebels, they would not have achieved such a swift victory. Continuing he said "he hoped that Nato would extend its mandate, which expires by the end of this month, in Libya at least till the end of this year. He indicated that Libya was still in bad need of the support of its friends to maintain its internal and border security to guarantee that weapons are not smuggled, combat illegal migration and deal with remaining Gaddafi fighters. "

At present NATO and Canada have the stated intent to withdraw from intervention in Libya October 31st. On Friday there is a NATO meeting.

On that day it will be most interesting to see what justification for continued involvement in the internal affairs of another country be given if the current position of withdrawal be altered.

Greed should not be presented as profit
Re "Profits are for people," by William Watson (Oct. 25).
When Bernie Madoff was swindling other people's money, he must have been thinking that he was merely making a profit. But greed cannot be justified as legitimate profit. Mr. Madoff was once hailed as an example of a highly successful American businessman. The rest belongs to history.
What the protesters are protesting is about the greed of high-profile investment bankers who have been playing with trillions of dollars of other people's money ruining their lives completely. These super-rich CEOs whom Heather Stuart, columnist for Britain's Oberserver, calls "cash cosmonauts," have bankrupted America, leaving millions of Americans homeless, while giving themselves hefty bonuses.
Even many members of this hallowed class no longer feel confortable with their fortunes. As Warren Buffet, one of America's richest men, recently wrote in the New York Times: "While the poor and middle class fight for us in Afghanistan and while most Americans struggle to make ends meet, we mega-rich continue to get our extraordinary tax breaks. ... These and other blessings showered upon us by legislators in Washington who feel compel to protect us, much as if we were spotted owl or some endangered species."
Mr. Buffet has called for raising taxes on incomes in excess of a million dollar. Time has come to raise taxes on the "profits" of the mega rich in the name of social justice and solidarity. And there must be proper regulations so that these high-profile bankers cannot play poker with other people's money in the name of profit.

Re:  Topp's tax-the-rich plan won't work,  National Post, Oct. 25, 2011

The top personal income tax rate in the period from 1949 to 1970 was over 80%; yet these were years of exceptional growth for the Canadian economy. So what proof is there that Increasing tax rates from the current high of 44% will discourage future entrepreneurship? If government income policies lead to less inequality, then more people will be able to spend, and will have less occasion to get mired in debt.  And that means a more robust economy that benefits everyone, including the business class.

The Royal Canadian Legion is claiming ownership of the poppy and threatening legal action against a Canadian veteran group for using it as part of their logo.
Intellectual property law firm Ridout and Maybee LLP, which represents the Legion, threatened legal action against a motorcycle group, the Canadian Veteran Freedom Riders (CVFR), September 1 if they did not remove the poppy from their logo.
A letter stated the poppy is a registered trademark and can't be used for commercial or personal use unless there is prior approval.
"The use of trademarks and other indicia incorporating the Legion's trademark 'poppy design' is occurring without the Legion's authorization," the letter read.
The poppy is seen on the helmet of a soldier as part of the Canadian Veteran Freedom Riders logo. This is illegal use of the trademark poppy, according to the Legion. (Canadian Veteran Freedom Riders)"We must insist that the CVFR and all of its members immediately cease all use of trademarks or other indicia incorporating the Legion's protected mark 'poppy design' and any of the Legion poppy trademarks." continued

Gaddafi Sodomized By NATO Supported Rebels
Video shows abuse frame by frame (GRAPHIC)
An analysis appears to confirm that a rebel fighter sodomized Gaddafi with a knife.

By Tracey Shelton

October 25, 2011 "Global Post" -- SIRTE, Libya — An analysis of video obtained by GlobalPost from a rebel fighter who recorded the moment when Col. Muammar Gaddafi was first captured confirms that another rebel fighter, whose identity is unknown, sodomized the former leader as he was being dragged from the drainpipe where he had taken cover.

A frame by frame analysis of this exclusive GlobalPost video clearly shows the rebel trying to insert some kind of stick or knife into Gaddafi's rear end.
