Subject: Libya and 9/11 the truth that MacKay is blind to???

Joe--MacKay is an embarrassment to any thinking person.  Does he ever think before he starts flapping his gums?  Does reality ever enter his vision?
NATO's mandate is to protect member countries who are being attacked.  I don't recall Libya attacking anyone.  He may think he is being 'frank' in stating that the mission is 'saving lives' but I doubt if he has any concept of the meaning of the word 'frank' or honesty.  He is a born liar and can spin anything to suit his agenda.
"The Libyan people will determine their own future"--as long as they accept the NATO installed rebels as their 'government'?  Sounds just like the 'democracy' practiced in Canada.

MacKay, along with George W Bush, Cheney, Wolfowicz, etc, is a war criminal and should be before The Hague.

As for 9/11 we know that was a false flag op to get the 'war' in Iraq and Afghanistan started.  The lies are so obvious that it stuns the mind that anyone could possibly believe anything that comes out of the 'official lying mouths'.  Fisk didn't mention the passport of an al Qaida member that didn't burn in the massive heat that 'melted' steel beams.

False flags are a great way to get things started for the killers in our governments to justify their actions.   Libya is another fine example of that.

On July 14, Mossad-connected DEBKAfile headlined, "The Libyan War ends. Obama makes Moscow peace broker. NATO halts strikes," saying:

"Bar the shouting, the war in Libya ended Thursday morning, July 14, when (Obama) called Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to hand Moscow the lead role in negotiations with (Gaddafi to end) the conflict - provided only that the Libyan ruler steps down in favor of a transitional administration."

Dear Prime Minister,

I do not understand our current involvement in Libya. I believe Canada's role should be a matter of public debate in the House of Commons. I do not support escalating Canada's involvement with troops or financial aid.

Joe,
My reaction is not to the issue but to the fact that Bob Rae is ahead of Jack Layton on the copy list. As long as we are in denial about the NDP destruction of the Liberals in the last election the issues before us take second place to getting in place an understanding of the minimal role that the Liberal Party plays in our current parliament. We need to show that we understand the identity and place of the true Leader of the Opposition.

Joe:
What else is new?
If I recall correctly, the first war support action that Harper took in 2006 was to show up in military uniform in Afghanistan. Similarly, on becoming Foreign Minister in 2011, the first war action or support that Baird took was to show up in Libya.

During the recent visit of Prince William and his bride to Canada, it was not hard to see the great emphasis that the Harper government placed on the presence of the Armed forces in numerous activities.

Unlike all pervious Canadian governments, it is clear that Harper's bent is to portray Canada to the world as a strong military power, rather than one that promotes peace. Canada's peace-keeping role went out the door with the arrival of Harper. What then can one expect in Libya than, eventually, Canadian "boots on the ground?"

I do believe that Libya would thrive without Khadafy. But one wonders why Harper has not sent War-support envoys or troops to Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Tunisia, or to the Gaza strip?

Dear Joe,

I am becoming more and more frustrated about every thng that is happening in the World today based on protecting Human Rights which should be the agenda of the UN and supported by all nations, both China and Russia have their own problems in this area within their domains and they have veto  power within the UN. Many other countries although thought of as democratic have no problem violating and justifying taking others rights away.

I believe that Canada should stand back and work within the UN to protect Human Rights around the World and react to the disasters that afflict this World. Be the Beacon that the RT. Hon. John Diefenbaker and The Rt. Hon. Lester B. Pearson saw us as.

A new view must be presented for Canada maintaining our Sovereignty, controlling our Resources. Providing Free Trade ( Two Words meaning we sell each other what we want, when we want and at the price we want- anything else is a loss of rights and therefore Sovereignty.) to all countries that maintain the same Health, Safety, and Enviromental working  standards that we have developed since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. We are one of the few countries in this World that can be self sufficient and we have many products and resources that will be purchased when put on the open market and that funds can be put together invested to achieve the goals of our citizens.

Canadian Companies must remain in Canadian hands non voting shares available to foreign investors of no more than 40% of the value of the Canadian Company.

Foreign Companies that wish to set up in Canada which have protected proprietary products will be sought after, which meet logical market justification.

Growth without Rules is Destructive, Planned Growth can fulfill Canada's needs for 100's of years.

These are some of my thoughts and I would add much more if I had the Time.

The reason I moved from Human Rights into Investment is that in order to be a Beacon we must stand alone and Sovereignty is required to do so. When others own you there is no Sovereignty - the light is diminished, not snuffed out as the heart and soul of each of us is still under our control for now. We must stand up alone and the World will protect us. We have the opportunity to Lead - for the Good, Canada!

Hope this adds some ideas Joe.

All the Best,
Gord

Subject: I do not support loans or bombing or boots on the ground in Libya

Mr. Harper, Mr. Layton, Mr. Rae---  "We're not pushing the risk factors here because our job is to protect those folks and at the same time trying to stop (Libyan leader Moammar) Gadhafi from shelling civilians," Natynczyk said. These are the words spoken to suggest that we put boots on the ground to further kill and maim in a country where we have no right to be involved in the first place.

I guess bombing and killing is less murderous than 'shelling'???  The arrogance and double-speak of Natynczyk would make George Orwell proud.    Big Brother is indeed alive and well in Canada--being dead from DU bombs is not as dead as being shelled--Big Brother has spoken!

First we hear that our government is suggesting using Gadhafi's funds in Canada to 'support the rebels'.  Sadly, if the UN does not release those funds(which they should do not under any circumstances--that is theft from the people of Libya) our government will probably use our tax dollars to fund the genocide in Libya, thereby making us even more complicit in this illegal killing.

Now we hear suggestions that we need 'boots on the ground'.  Our military planes were purchased for the defense of Canada', not illegally attacking a country that has never posed a threat to our country.  Now the young of Canada will be sacrificed so the powers in charge can kill more?

The mandate of NATO is to protect member countries who are being attacked.  When did Libya attack any member of NATO?

In spite of government words that Canada is strong economically, the Canadians who are trying to survive day to day know differently.  MacKay's words that 'we are providing more stability to Libya' ring hollow when we look around Canada and see all the instability occurring here.  Over one thousand Canadians lost their jobs yesterday, without any pay or severance, but I guess that is ok?  Who will provide stability in Canada?

Until Canada is the perfect country, we have no right to be dictating how anyone else should be governed.  As a Canadian I am ashamed of what my country is doing to innocent people--people who obviously support their government after we witness the support in the streets for Gadhaffi.  Never has there been that much support shown for any government of Canada!!!

"WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.

These are the doctrines of our government.

Dear Joe,

As a graduate of the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario (Class of 1976), I am very pro-military and pro-Strong Defense in this mixed-up, threat-filled world we live on today.

THE PAST...
That said, I supported us joining our Western Allies when we went into Afghanistan to hunt Al Queda and their Taliban enablers who killed 3000 on 9/11/2011 (36 of them Canadians).
I also supported the American Invasion of Iraq in March 2003.  Knock-off murderous, poison-gas dropping (on his own people) Sadam Hussein and his psycho sons, establish a secular democratic government in a bad neighbourhood (think "Turkey East").......and line-up a reliable (and huge) supplier of OIL for our future, thought I.  A win-win-win perfect trifecta I reckoned.  Well we all know what happened in Iraq eh?  The Yanks were NOT liberators....they were seen as invaders....infidel invaders.  Moreover, until General Patreous's brilliant surge (and frankly, even MORE BRILLIANT alliance with the Sunni Warlords), the outcome of the Iraq War looked doubtful for America.  Still and all..........I do not regret supporting the US invasion of Iraq (given the facts of the day).

TODAY
We sat on our hands as Egyptian President Mubarek, the only living, breathing Arab leader (Sadat got murdered) to recognize Israel struggle to hang onto power....and worse, had that naïve idiot gasbag Hillary FemaleCuckold Clinton actually call for Mubarek's removal..........we watched like a bunch of schoolgirls as the mobs in Cairo won the day.  So now, the Arab League tough guys are murdering Coptic Christians all over Egypt..........thanks Hillary!!!  You really knew what the right prescription was for Israel's Western border, eh???  For the Gaza Strip right???  Whadda absolute jack-azz the USA has for a Secretary Of State!!

So we went from a stable, secular Egypt (population 80 million BTW!!!) to a amped-up populace whose most effectively organized group is a bunch of Arab fundamentalist thugs.....The Arab League.  How long before Hezbollah moves in, huh???  Egypt is unpredictable now.....and it's on Israel's western border.....ya know Israel....the guys with the 24 or so nukes???!!!  Can you say VERY VERY SCARY???!!

When the Libyian civil war started I thought....."Great, two opposing Arab tribes wanting to wipe each other out!!!  Let's do what the cops in New York do when two Mafia families are at war......play cards!!!  Let them kill each other off.  We just show up to sort them out!!"

Anyhoo.....I think you can see where I'm going with this......let the Libyians fight each other......ad infinitim.  If Italy really needs the Libyian oil so desperately.....let the Italians go fight in their former North African colony okay!!??  Oh yeah, I forgot......I just saw that add on Ebay...."ITALIAN ASSAULT RIFLE FOR SALE.  MINT CONDITION.  NEVER FIRED.....DROPPED TWICE.

No brave Canadian soldier should have to die in Libya.  Let the Western Europeans fight this one......if indeed any Westerners even need get involved.

Just my opinion!

Best Regards,

Coleman

Press must regain the public trust

Re Comment: "Britain must rein in press with care," by John Sainsbury and News Report: "Sean Hoare wanted to right a wrong," (July 19).

Prof. John Sainsbury need not worry. Press freedom in Britain is safe and secured. What he should be worried is the loss of public trust in the press. Britain's tabloid press seem to have forgotten that with every freedom comes the responsibility. Rupert Murdock and his media flunkies seem to have thrown to the wind even tiniest repsonsibility while presenting trash in the name of news.

As the News Report shows how a News of the World reporter Sean Hoare, who died "inexplicably" when the scandal is unfolding, was forced to take dugs with rock stars in order to get a closer look at their lives. Mr. Hoare told the New York Times last year that his fomer editor, Andy Coulson, had actively encouraged him to hack into voice mail. As a show business reporter he was himself a victim of this brutal media culture. As Mr. Hoare said: "I was paid to go out and take drugs with rock stars -- get drunk with them, take cocaine with them." The British press must come out of this insane culture of trash gathering in the name of news gathering.
