Daily Digest April 16, 2008

Hi!

Yesterday was a fortnight since April Fool's Day when a request was sent to you.

It spoke of "encouragement".

It suggested that, should you find the Digest to be something you look forward to, you assist through funding that would defray costs.

Yesterday, two weeks, a fortnight after the post, those doing so increased 100%, from one to two.

Frankly, should you agree with the thoughts expressed below, please consider increasing the encouragement rate by 50%

Does the Digest have a worth to you?

    If so let me know.

        Best regards,

         Joe

Canadians work hard: they pay their taxes and they play by the rules.
http://www.conservative.ca/EN/2459/99524

The Question that will be answered in court is did "they play by the rules"?

"I'm not surprised at all," said Jean Landry, the Conservative Party candidate in the Quebec riding of Richmond-Arthabaska in the last election, whose campaign was audited by Elections Canada. "The truth will come out one day, and justice will follow its course.

"I swear on the Bible that I never received that money for local expenses. It was for the national [campaign], not for me. The money returned automatically into the Conservative Party account." http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20080416.TORIES16/TPStory/TPNational/Politics/

E-mails from Conservative officials showed that for some "regional ad buys" the national party would not even wire their money to the local candidates until local campaign officials had filled out wire instructions authorizing the same sum to be transferred back to the national party. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20080416.TORIESLAYER16/TPStory/TPNational/Politics/
