I hope this message finds you well.  Im quite impressed with this Daily Digest.  I read it off my BlackBerry and I believe that it could be a service which could be marketed and rolled out on a subscription basis.  Are you interested in discussing?

Very Best Regards!
Bien amicalement!

Following up on this post by 'phone it became clear immediately it was a no go.

A subscription list would mean no BELOW (30), nor continuing contacts, nor editorializing.

April 1 is the date that for several years a post has been sent out of this nature.

Not knowing what to write I 'phoned for an opinion.

What follows was received

"Encouragement" will be much appreciated.

Subject: an open letter to readers of daily digest:  joe, i'm not april fooling!!!

forget about trying to convert even a small portion of your free
emails into paid: the publishing trail is littered with the carcasses
of others who have tried converting free recipients to paid.

better you simply run a heartfelt request for the occasional small
cheque, using the great insight someone gave me:

"your note of encouragement in the form  of a signed cheque will be
gratefully acknowledged!"

do not try to convert some of your rants into a paid service, if
someone wants to do it for you at his expense, encourage them on!

this from one of neoconia's devoted pamphleteers who knows better than
to try to get $ for my profound, hoho, insights!

yours in the faith! cz
