My day was spent assisting in doing our Christmas baking.  My elder daughter, who comes over for the purpose, decided not to put the Hallmark   ornaments on our Christmas tree she decorates each year. The pork loin roast and skin for crackle are ordered.  Red cabbage has been bought
and small potatoes to brown in butter and sugar. Long grain rice has been purchased and the almonds to add to what most of us would call rice   pudding together with whipped cream after they've been ground up (with one whole almond that wins a prize) - Risalamande - the traditional
Danish dessert to end the Christmas Eve repast.

Ontario Court of Justice Marion Cohen did our society as a whole a favour through enabling leaders in all faiths to disavow her action of ordering
        a Christmas tree removed .

A link to the history of this tradition is included - as is a slide show courtesy of Rubie, whose words I echo.
